Literature Text
Daylight:
Caustic to the uncovered eye.
It tugs, dragging away the protective quilt,
A gossamer veil of skin.
Lashing at lenses with tongues of flame,
Harsh glares bite at pupils;
They cower in small spheres,
Irises are exposed and ablaze.
Darkness washes across the burning skies,
The air cools, a numbing breeze.
Silver, pure, shimmering on still pools –
Lights reawaken in the embers.
The ashes crumble and drift away,
Caught in reflections of a luminous sea,
Rippling through the air.
Caustic to the uncovered eye.
It tugs, dragging away the protective quilt,
A gossamer veil of skin.

Harsh glares bite at pupils;
They cower in small spheres,

The ashes crumble and drift away,
Caught in reflections of a luminous sea,
Rippling through the air.
Literature
Seeing stars
She was the stars,
Milky way hips.
An interstellar cloud,
The shape of her lips.
Cassiopeia,
Her skin.
Andromeda,
Her constellation.
Forever in orbit,
She's always pulling me in.
Literature
Broken Dreamer
Broken dreamer
Breathing dreams
Into the wake
Of some disease
That got lost
Along the way
So, paint a smile
Next to your name
Pawn the night
In local shops
Ones that smuggle
Ones that chop
Skip the sidewalks
Hum and sing
Broken dreamer
Breathing dreams
Literature
Krasis
we are but remnants
of warmth, imprints
of colors;
time piranhas
to our footpaths,
our blooming forgotten
in the face of a blue moon,
autumnal harvest wreckage,
long-necked and
searching

7. Heaven
Yeah, I know that you will probably find absolutely no connection with this to heaven at all. Except for the fact that heaven and the sky are closely related. This is also a mild reference to Byron's 'She Walks in Beauty' which states that Night is more beautiful, more pure that daylight, which is far to brash and bright.
'which heaven to gaudy day denies'
I was pretty much going for the same idea with this poem. I hope you like it - feedback is very much appreciated.

Any reference to the NIN song apart from the title?
